Claire and Team

Claire

Meet Claire, the founder of Baby Love Groups and Academies. With a deep passion for supporting the critical 1001 days, the pivotal period from conception to a child’s second birthday, Claire embarked on a journey to create the Babylove developmental program, supporting and nurturing families while holistically developing little ones. Her dedication to this cause stems from her background as an early years teacher, with her Early Years Teaching degree, (Hons) being obtained way back in 1995.

Throughout her career, Claire has worn many hats, including being a Class Teacher,  Nursery Head Teacher, Early Years Advisory Teacher, owner and manager of Childcare settings. She has even been identified as an early years expert and invited to join government working parties, where she reflected on foundation curriculums and assessments. However, it was when Claire became a mother herself that she realized the lack of information available to support child development from conception to school. How does that baby in our arms become that three year old, entering a school Nursery, and what can we do to support them?

Driven by her fascination and desire to make a difference, Claire continued to pursue further education, obtaining a Post Graduate certificate in early years, a CACHE Level 3 qualification, and various infant sign language courses, including Makaton and Kindersign. She also became a trained baby massage instructor, continuously expanding her knowledge and skills in the field. Her most recent training venture involved working with the renowned Baby Massage expert, Peter Walker.

But Claire’s training didn’t stop there. She went on to become a certified Fedant accredited Antenatal yoga and antenatal education and fourth trimester care teacher with the fabulous Clare Maddelana from LushTums. With a solid foundation of training and almost 30 years of experience working with families, Claire has tirelessly been creating the Baby Love program, a supportive and developmental program for parents and their babies.

Baby Love is Claire’s third baby, and she has poured her passion and love into creating a nurturing community for parents and their little ones. To date it is estimated that claire has worked with thousands of families since she began.  Through Baby Love groups and academies, Claire aims to help families thrive, build valuable parenting networks, and support children in reaching developmental milestones through fun and interactive activities.  Her ethos is that Babylove is not a Baby group, it is a community!

Claire’s vision is to spread the powerful developmental tool that is Baby Love, one family, one baby, one pregnancy at a time, not just across the nation but across the world. Two years ago, she quietly introduced the Academy side of Baby Love, which has already trained two teachers who are now successfully running their own Baby Love businesses in their local areas.

Due to her expertise and reputation, Claire is frequently asked to run bespoke sessions, private sessions, events such as parties and corporate events. She has also been involved in running sessions in summer music festivals, spreading the message of Baby Love far and wide.  Most recently Claire is creating a training program which can be used in Childcare settings, supporting staff to implement a best practise curriculum of activities for staff in Baby rooms, ensuring our little ones are having the best start 100% of the time.

With Claire at the helm, Baby Love is set to make a lasting impact on families, providing the support and resources they need to help their children thrive during their crucial early years.

  • Having attended Babylove from Tinies to Beach Babies with my little boy and now Tinies to Park Babies my children and I have gained so much from the classes.

I gained some wonderful Mum friends with both my children.

Both my children used the signs we learnt at Babylove to communicate before they could talk.

I’ve learnt some fantastic and funny songs to share with my children.

  • Having initially joined BABYLOVE for the social aspect, I was amazed at how much more my babies and I have got out of it.

Claire’s knowledge on early childhood development is phenomenal and during the classes she would explain the benefits of the activity for the baby.

Aside from making amazing mum friends, the best result that we’ve achieved is how much my baby and toddler engage and love the classes.

  • Your positive, vibrant energy is really motivating for both mother and baby.

The mixture of activities provide great engagement for the little ones and I particularly like the dance part of the session – fun for baby and great bit of exercise for mums and dads too – great excuse for an after-class coffee and cake!

It’s great to have different levels of classes that babies can move up to.

  • Would you recommend babylove?

Don’t think! It was the best decision we ever made. Our time at BabyLove was sadly cut short due to Covid-19, however Claire’s commitment to her babies soon pulled everyone back to her through her ‘virtual’ sessions.

Hunter gets so excited when he sees her, it’s the highlight of his week.
