We run two amazing classes
Babylove Ante-natal education, birth prep and life with a newborn classes – preparing you and your partner for birth and baby.
Antenatal birth preparation and fourth trimester classes
This fun filled course is designed to empower you and your birth partner (if one is attending with you), helping you to understand all about your body, your baby, your birth; essentially everything you need to know to prepare fully for labour and birth and for the first 3 months of life with your newborn. Our classes are massively social, relaxed and surprisingly great fun. This is what one of our recent Mums to be had to say about our recent course;
“Claire is fantastic, made us feel completely at ease. Delivered at a good pace. Any questions we raised she would look into in more detail and let us know. It was delivered in a calm, thoughtful manner, non judgemental! You can tell she is really passionate about what she is doing and cares about the people in her groups. It was great too how she got the partners involved…..a course highlight was getting involved practically…..we attended the course to ease any concerns about pregnancy, childbirth and afterwards. These needs were definitely met and we have been a lot more positive about our experience to date and looking forward now to the next stages. I feel comfortable knowing that Claire’s calming words will be in the back of my mind and helping me through….I’m definitely feeling the oxytocins“. Helen and Piers December 2020
So what should you expect to discover at our Antenatal birth preparation and fourth trimester Education classes?

Our Ethos when it comes to Birth & Baby Prep
Experts in this field, I received my ante natal education teacher qualification from LushTums. LushTums teachers have been fully trained to deliver Antenatal Education Courses based on the latest evidence based science, research and protocols along with some of the incredible traditional practices of yoga and mindfulness that can so help at this time of huge change.
Created by our founder Clare Maddalena I have received full accreditation from FEDANT, the UK’s awarding body for antenatal education, midwifery & doula services in the UK.
In our classes we not only cover all the science about what your body is doing, but also teach you practical, tried & tested tools & techniques on how to ‘breathe, move and relax’ throughout labour and birth. Unlike other courses we really teach you how to cope with labour, to work with your body and overcome fear as well as how to many informed choices on the day.
We don’t shy away from any subjects and will teach you about all the options open to you including medical pain relief and interventions you might have to navigate – so you are fully prepared and able to make the best decisions for you and your baby on the big day. Again, this is unlike other courses which often just explain about natural childbirth and don’t take into account some of the other things that might happen.
Remember knowledge is power and being able to make informed decisions is EMPOWERMENT!
Make friends as you learn and prepare for birth and parenthood with positivity and excitement.

*Babylove Antenatal is partnered with the wonderful Lushtums.

- Through Babylove we fully support mums as they reach Matrescence.
“MATRESCENCE (n.) /mæˈtres.ənts/)
The process of becoming a mother, coined by Dana Raphael, Ph.D. (1973), is a developmental passage where a woman transitions through pre-conception, pregnancy and birth, surrogacy or adoption, to the postnatal period and beyond. The exact length of matrescence is individual, recurs with each child, and may arguably last a lifetime! The scope of the changes encompass multiple domains –bio-psycho-social-political-spiritual– and can be likened to the developmental push of adolescence.”
– Aurélie Athan, Ph.D.
